Why this site exists
Search for a food tour in Seville and you get two kinds of page: an operator promising authenticity, or a blog post about one evening somebody had, sometimes years ago, still quoting a price that has moved.
What is missing is the boring comparison. How many tastings the operator actually commits to in writing. How many drinks. Whether the tour runs before or after the city's own dinner hour. Whether the market it visits is even open that day. And the one that decides the booking for a lot of people — whether a vegan, a vegetarian or a coeliac will be fed or turned away. None of it is secret; it is in the operators' own fine print and on the market's own timetable page. Putting it next to the price is the whole job of this site.
Where the facts come from
Tour prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, meeting points, group caps and dietary notes are read off each operator's own live listing on the date shown, in US dollars. Every tour carries the same fields in the same order. Tour listings checked: August 2026.
Market opening hours come from Mercado de Triana's own published schedule rather than a third-party listing. Local food prices are given as ranges in euros, taken from Seville price guides and bar menus and dated where they appear. Climate figures are the 1991-2020 normals for Seville, in Celsius with a Fahrenheit reading alongside, because an August afternoon here decides whether a walking tour is a pleasure or an ordeal. Festival dates are the published 2027 dates for Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril.
Where an operator states something inconvenient in its own words — no vegans, no wheelchairs, a demonstration rather than a class, a market that is sometimes closed — we quote it rather than smooth it over. Review quotes keep the reviewer's first name, country and travel month exactly as published. We do not write testimonials.
What we do not do
We have not eaten with every operator on this page. We do not inspect kitchens, meet guides, audit food-safety practice or verify licences beyond repeating what the listings state.
We also do not take your booking. Every Check Availability button sends you to the platform the operator sells on, where the price, the terms and the cancellation window are theirs, not ours.
How the site pays for itself
Links to tours here are affiliate links. If you book through one, the platform pays us a commission and you pay exactly what you would pay going there directly.
That arrangement funds the research and nothing else. It does not decide which tours appear, in what order, or what we say about them. Our pick is not the listing that pays most: the most expensive tour on this page would earn the largest commission, and it is not the one we point most visitors at.
Corrections
Prices move, bars close for August, market hours change and festival dates shift every year. If something here is out of date, write to us with what you found and when you were there. We would rather fix a number than defend it.
